Midlands based Groundwork and Civil Engineering Contractor working both locally and nationally on packages ranging from £50K to £15M. Projects include hotels, offices, universities, retail parks, care homes, car parks, and industrial units.
Specialise in all aspects of Groundworks and Civil Engineering particularly; bulk earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete slabs, water attenuation, land drainage, sewers, road construction, road planning, retaining structures, asphalt surfacing, hard landscaping - comprising of block paving, kerbs, paving slabs, signage & street furniture.

As a Buyer, you will be:
* Using your excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to build relationships and manage suppliers, negotiate prices, and procure goods and services.
* Collaborating with site teams to understand their requirements.
* Collating and managing any material order documentation.
* Reporting and coordinating deliveries to site management teams.
* Developing technical knowledge and internal relationships to identify opportunities to add value to the business.
* Dealing with purchase order and invoice queries, following them through to resolution.
Must haves:
Knowledge of aggregates, asphalt, drainage, and concrete.
