About the role: This company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the post of Assistant Site Manager at Stockton. Working under guidance of the Site Manager to accomplish plant objectives, in areas of Safety, Environmental, Recovery, Quality, Reliability, Production, efficiency, Cost Reduction and innovation. Efficient planning and proactive strategy development for optimisation of plant, equipment & reports. Accountable for the safe and efficient running of the site, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all staff, visitors, members of the public around all areas of operation by this company. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the Supervision of all aspects of handling of materials around site milling, bagging, transport and loading of finished and raw materials Adherence to local and government legislation and company policy on health and safety, including contractor management, ensuring RAMS, insurances, permits to work and training records are in place and work is completed to this company's health and safety standards and current regulations. Ensure all tasks are sufficiently risk assessed and safe systems of work developed, and suitable control measures implemented Ensures adherence to and compliance with, both company standards and those of the 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001 company accreditations and supporting as part of the site auditing procedures. Responsible for the day to day operation of equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of that works. To operate the plant in order to deliver optimum productivity, efficiency, quality and performance to required standards. Maintain housekeeping standards and routine inspections are carried out across the area of responsibility Responsible for the efficient execution of orders in a timely and efficient manner Have responsibility for the recording and management of stock Play active role in OEE to improve efficiency within Closely monitors quality of raw materials and finished products and all product testing Involvement within the Operational Efficiency programme Minimise all business losses as reasonably practicable To operate the site in an environmentally responsible manner ensuring quality and sustainability in compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations. Desirables: Experience in minerals processing or similar industries Supervisory and Management experience Safety Qualifications and experience (NEBOSH or similar) Experience of mechanical or electrical engineering would be advantageous Ability to plan and organise.
