Info about the company
Specialist RF business developing NextGen radar and communications components and sub-systems is looking to grow their RF team. They have a whole mix of RF design requirements at both high level and low level Gan MMICs.
Info about what the RF Design Engineer
Working in a small RF design team alongside recognised industry experts, there will be an opportunity for significant knowledge transfer. A technical role, working with systems engineers to make sure the requirements are being met. You will be doing RF circuit design work, CST simulations, designing PCBs, working with layout engineers, manufacturing, testing, writing test reports and checking against requirements with test team. Working closely with support teams all along the full project lifecycle. The primary includes quadrature transmitter receiver modules (XTRMs) for radar and the business drives into new era of SIPs (System in package), high power devices, miniaturisation etc
Essential Requirements of the RF Design Engineer
* Senior level RF design role - you will have good theoretical knowledge of both RF and microwave and be able to simulate electromagnetic simulations.
* Significant experience in ADS, AWR or CST electromagnetic simulations.
* Experience of high-power amplifiers.
* Circuit level design experience – you will be working with a PCB layout engineer. Circuit capture is essential (PADS, KEYCAD, Altium etc).
* UHF frequency upwards is fine...
