We have an opportunity for an experienced Practice Manager to join our well-established practice at Endell Equine Hospital.
You'll be a pivotal member of our management team, supporting the Clinical Director in the management of the practice and the development of the business. You'll recognise and implement improvements, ensuring that Endell continues to maintain all current accreditations, as well as helping to develop a vision for the practice and working to deliver that.
As Practice Manager, you will need demonstrable knowledge of recruitment, budgeting, human resources, health and safety, rota management, payroll and learning and development. The role is extremely varied and stimulating. You will also work closely with the leaders in reception and nursing, to support the development of their teams and ensure excellent teamwork throughout the practice, whilst continuing the delivery of a high standard of customer care.
This can be a part or full-time position, Monday-Friday.
About the role:
Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
2. Recruit, train and supervise team members
3. Create and manage the team rota and ensure adequate coverage at all times
4. Financial responsibility, including banking, budgets and debt control
5. Prepare financial reports and analyse performance
6. Manage the day-to-day operations of the practice
7. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and address any concerns or issues
8. Develop long-term goals and plans for the growth of the practice
What we're looking for in our new Practice Manager:
9. Previous veterinary experience would be preferred, but not essential. Desirable would be previous equine experience
10. Managerial or leadership experience would be advantageous
11. Strong planning and problem-solving skills
12. An excellent communicator with strong empathy
13. Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
14. A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
Salary and Benefits
Salary for the role of up to £51, per annum depending on relevant experience. In addition, we offer an impressive range of benefits as part of the CVS Group.

Our veterinary practice is well-established in the local community and provides care to thousands of horses every year.
The hospital has been accredited as an RCVS Equine Hospital (Tier 3), which means that it meets the highest standard of veterinary hospital care. In addition to complying with Core Standards, such as health and safety, hygiene and legal requirements, we also have access to diagnostic facilities, including radiation safety and can provide continual nursing and veterinary care for in-patients 24 hours a day. We also maintain and improve our clinical standards through an ongoing process of hospital monitoring and review.
