Location: Office based 4 days a week initially and 1 day working from home
As the Purchasing & Culinary Administrator for Thomas Franks, you will be a key member of the purchasing team and provide admin support for the Group Culinary Director. You will be responsible for administering the supplier database and supporting the team with onboarding new suppliers and approving supplier catalogues. You will support compliance in relation to food standards, sustainability, allergens, labelling, and other related areas.
Also supporting in the minuting of meetings, sending group communications, processing of expenses, and supporting the team with general admin-based duties.
We are able to offer this role as an apprenticeship to study and achieve a CIPS qualification whereby you will be expected to complete your study within and alongside your day-to-day duties.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Administrating the process to set up suppliers and new accounts, ensuring all relevant parties are notified in a timely manner.
* Updating the Supplier database.
* Tracking supplier accreditations and certifications expiry dates.
* Approving supplier catalogues.
* Point of contact for the Purchasing inbox to ensure internal and external queries are forwarded to the relevant buyer in a timely manner.
* Attending internal and external meetings and taking minutes and following up with attendees on their actions.
* Supporting the team in data analysis.
* Updating the supplier comments log.
* Admin support to the Purchasing Director and the Group Culinary Director.
* Carrying out any other tasks as reasonably requested from time to time.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Professional, organised, presentable, efficient, and self-motivated.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
* Computer literate. Must be a proficient user of Microsoft suite of packages including Excel, Word, Outlook. Ability to set up Teams calls.
* Ability to manage a busy diary independently.
* Must be able to multi-task - this can be a varied role.
* Must have an excellent eye for detail.
* A driver’s licence and willingness to travel around the country at times and occasionally be away from home.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
* Experience of working in a similar admin role is an advantage.
* Experience in a purchasing team.
