V&C Associates are partnering with one of the UK’s largest Residential operations, covering purpose-built apartment blocks. They are looking for a Night Manager to manage one of their most important luxury residential sites in Sheffield City Centre. This is a great opportunity for someone coming from hotel, hospitality, or other residential night manager positions.
The Night Manager is responsible for residential guest teams between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am within a city. They assume responsibility for operating the properties safely, securely, and providing a point of escalation and incident response wherever required. Reporting to the General Manager, they support guests with the delivery of excellent service, consistent execution, and the creation of a community that residents love and flourish in. In the event of a major incident, they will assume control and manage the response.
Key accountabilities / responsibilities
* Be a brand ambassador and act with positive intent, creating an environment where residents feel safe, welcomed, and settled. Ensure the team is fully informed and well communicated with.
* Accountable for team performance, actively participating in performance management conversations and personal development plans.
* Support guests by ensuring all properties are staffed with experience or safety team members according to agreed principles and property needs; ensure team members are trained to deliver expected outcomes and can respond appropriately in all scenarios.
* Support the creation of an environment where our Experience teams can apply CARE (Connect, Act, Respect, Encourage), delivering a world-class experience to residents and each other.
* Ensure safety team members respond promptly at night, taking appropriate action on feedback, resolving issues directly or indirectly, and escalating when necessary. Establish root causes and solutions to prevent recurrence.
* Ensure safety team members adhere to company policies, procedures, and trained ways of working at all times.
* Act as a point of escalation for team members within their city for customer account management.
* Manage security personnel and ensure properties are secure from external threats.
* Respond quickly and decisively in case of property failure, with knowledge of building systems, fire safety, and infrastructure.
* Respond effectively in emergencies, with knowledge of H&S policies, fire safety policies, and available tools like the Keeping Safe guide.
* Maintain a safe environment for all, including monitoring and recording compliance, and ensuring team members are trained to act during incidents or emergencies.
* Keep the environment clean, tidy, and well-maintained, holding the team accountable for action when required.
Understand and promote our sustainability strategy, encouraging the team to contribute to achieving sustainability targets.
