Are you an experienced Corporate Tax Manager looking for a broad and varied role where you can lead assignments, provide expert tax advice, and mentor a team? With recent legislative changes, now is an exciting time to work in a corporate tax consultancy team for a firm acting for many owner managers, who need to prioritise succession planning and growth, considering all tax efficient options available to them. Our team have built a network both internally and externally who consider them trusted business advisors who will help guide them at crucial stages.
About the Role
This is a multifaceted role where you’ll take ownership of individual assignments and team projects, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. You’ll work across a mix of corporate tax compliance and advisory, engaging with clients and third parties to provide clear, commercial tax advice.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Managing multiple corporate tax assignments in consultation with the Director
* Preparing tax reports, technical letters, and correspondence with HMRC
* Liaising with internal specialists, banks, solicitors, and other advisors
* Supporting the compliance function with technical queries
* Attending client meetings alongside relationship leads
* Monitoring costs and ensuring timely billing
* Supervising, reviewing, and delegating advisory work
* Contributing to firm-wide initiatives and fostering a learning environment for the team

About You
We’re looking for an adaptable, commercially minded tax professional who enjoys variety and problem-solving.
You’ll ideally have:
* (ATT or ACA) and CTA qualification with relevant experience
* Relevant experience in tax advisory or corporate tax, typically 4-5 years post-qualification in a general tax environment (or 1-2 years in corporate tax). We welcome candidates with alternative but relevant experience
* Strong technical knowledge of corporation tax, capital allowances, and key CGT reliefs
* Experience in technical report writing and explaining complex tax matters to clients
* A proactive approach to client service and commercial awareness
* Confidence liaising with clients, HMRC, and other professional advisors
* Ability to travel to client sites as needed (driving licence preferred but not essential)
* Experience with HMRC investigations and tax clearances
* Knowledge of stamp duty and SDLT
* Experience in corporate reorganisations and step plans
