About the role
GreenSquareAccord has been commissioned by Changing Lives to provide needs-led support to women under the supervision of the National Probation Service. GreenSquareAccord is part of the Women`s Justice Partnership (WJP) along with Changing Lives, Anawim, and Black Country Women`s Aid.
Women become involved in the Criminal Justice System for complex reasons. Our gender-specific services provide holistic support by women, to help women overcome challenges and address needs, enabling them to successfully move on from services and live fulfilling, crime-free lives. The support focuses on issues like:
* Accommodation
* Finance, Benefits, and Debts
* Employment, Training, and Education
* Family and Significant Others
* Lifestyle and Associates
* Social Inclusion
* Dependency and Recovery
Please note that successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check and Level 1 vetting. Further details will be provided after an offer is made.
About you
As a Women`s Justice Practitioner, you will work with a small team delivering a support program focusing on self-esteem, emotional management, boundaries, communication skills, and healthy relationships.
You will support women with complex needs, delivering the Springboard program to help them develop skills to move away from crime. Responsibilities include facilitating group discussions and activities, achieving clear outcomes using a strengths-based approach, and providing one-to-one support when appropriate.
