The Role
This role is based at Tameside Housing Advice. This service provides information, advice and housing options for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. As a Partnerships Team Leader, the role will sit within the social housing allocations team. The post will involve daily case management and oversight of the housing register, applications, nominations and allocations into social housing, alongside supporting your fellow colleagues in other areas of the homeless prevention service.
As a team leader you will be a key part of the management team at the stand-alone Housing Advice service, supporting and developing the team and providing management cover for other areas of the service as required.

You will be able to think creatively in finding solutions to housing challenges.
Be able to multitask and balance competing priorities
Be focused and outcome driven whilst ensuring a person-centred approach is in place
Have great negotiation skills
Be able to use Microsoft packages, specifically the use of Excel spreadsheets
Have knowledge of housing legislation/regulations
Identify new opportunities
Work collaboratively with all partners in Tameside and across Greater Manchester
