Position: Kitchen Store Assistant
Hourly rate: £12.36 per hour plus extensive benefits
Contract: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 7am-3:30pm
We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Store Assistant to manage our hotel’s food stock and supplies, ensuring that our Kitchen Team always has what they need to deliver an outstanding dining experience!
What your day will look like:
* Manage the hotel’s Kitchen stock, including food, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
* Receive, check, and store deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality.
* Implement and maintain an effective stock rotation system to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
* Conduct daily temperature checks for fridges and storage areas, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
* Maintain inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
* Issue supplies to different departments as needed.
* Ensure storage areas are clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
* Liaise with suppliers to track orders and resolve any discrepancies.
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, though not essential.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Understanding of food safety, stock rotation, and temperature control procedures.
* Capable of counting and managing stock accurately
* A team player with good communication skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
