Reporting to the Lead Analytics Engineer, you will work closely with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders across the business to build scalable data pipelines, optimize our data architecture, and support analytical initiatives across all Immediate’s brands. Your work will directly influence Immediate's digital strategy, contributing to impactful content delivery and audience engagement. As a champion for analytics engineering, you’ll lead efforts to enhance our data capabilities and maturity while keeping Immediate at the forefront of data engineering trends and methodologies. Your contributions will drive innovation through automation and forward-thinking approaches to data integration, quality, governance, and pipeline optimisation. You are highly skilled in managing large datasets using SQL, DBT, and cloud data warehouses with experience in orchestration tools like ADF. You prioritize data quality, have a strong understanding of data governance, and enjoy implementing testing frameworks to ensure data integrity. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, You Will: Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes using DBT, SQL, and Azure data platforms to ensure high-quality data is available for downstream analysis. Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to define data needs, create data models, and ensure data integrity. Contribute to the analytics engineering roadmap, setting project milestones, defining priorities, and aligning with long-term business goals. Build and maintain data marts that support analysis of audience behaviour, content types, product features, and user journeys across our web and app platforms. Integrate data with third-party tools, such as our Customer Data Platform and personalization services, to support marketing and engagement efforts. Drive innovation in data practices by identifying opportunities for automation and optimization within workflows. Implement data quality checks, testing frameworks, and governance practices to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and compliance with best practices. Elevate data literacy across the company by providing technical guidance, creating documentation, and supporting the Data Academy. Requirements At least 4 years’ experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role, preferably within media, e-commerce, or digital products. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modelling & transformation tools, such as DBT. Experience working with cloud data platforms, such as Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or DataBricks. Proficiency in Git or other version control tools for collaborative project work. Experience with data orchestration tools, such as Airflow or ADF. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and senior stakeholders. Experience with Martech solutions and Python/predictive analytics is desirable but not essential.
