We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team.

The Candidate:
We are seeking a candidate that has previous experience in a Compliance role. The candidate should have excellent time management, organisational, IT and communication skills, accurate typing abilities, a willingness to learn new skills, knowledge and expertise in the field, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate in a friendly, professional and confidential manner to both colleagues and clients.
The role available will suit those with a positive and flexible approach and an ability to remain calm under pressure in order to project the image and ethos of the firm at all times.
The role:
As a Compliance Officer at Spire, you would:
* Assist with the client on-boarding processes by incepting new clients or amending existing records, performing searches and conflict checks in accordance with Compliance and Anti-money Laundering (AML) regulation and internal protocols.
* Support with AML compliance and due diligence checks, including international client due diligence and international client inception vetting and assisting with AML risk assessments.
* Administer the full range of compliance registers such as complaints, professional indemnity claims and regulatory breaches.
* Oversee the Riliance (Access) system (setting up new colleagues, dealing with user enquiries, monitoring a range of entries made by colleagues).
* Assist with administration around the preparation for accreditation audits of Lexcel, CQS, LawNet & WIQS.
* Perform sanction list checks including notices from HM Government, against records.
* Ensure compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SRA Accounts Rules and accounting requirements.
* Work collaboratively and collegiately with colleagues and successfully manage client relationships.
* Demonstrate teamwork and relationship building skills.
* Display willingness to nurture and teach junior members of the team, if required.
