Job Description
The Global Technical Director of the Water, Environment and Energy Transition Service Line plays a key role in developing and optimizing technical expertise across water, environment and energy projects worldwide. Reporting to the Global Director of the WEET Service Line, the Technical Director ensures excellence, innovation, and quality across all markets. This role involves close collaboration with operational and technical teams in various Regions while leading a global network of technical experts.
Job Description:
The Global Technical Director of the WEET Line is responsible for defining and implementing a global technical strategy that addresses the challenges of ecological & energy transition, and emerging eco-conception & construction models. The Director ensures that projects meet the highest quality standards while fostering synergies and promoting the sharing of best practices across regions.
Responsibilities:
1. International technical vision and strategy:
* Develop and implement a global technical strategy for the WEET Service Line, taking into account key industry trends and challenges, such as sustainability and ecological transition, energy efficiency, new construction models, and digital integration, in accordance with digital director of the SL.
* Ensure the technical consistency of projects and their compliance with both international and local standards.
1. Global technical network management:
* Structure and lead an international network of technical experts, encouraging knowledge exchange and sharing of best practices in close collaboration with Business Line Technical Direction.
* Leverage regional expertise to address the needs of complex projects and ensure high technical performance.
Define critical expertise needs and leads the expertise development plan (recruitment, M&A ) in collaboration with each Regions
* Oversee feedback processes and ensure the dissemination of lessons learned across regions.
1. Technical excellence and innovation:
* Guarantee the application of best technical practices in project management through audits, incident tracking, and establishing control procedures.
* Promote innovation within the SL, particularly through the integration of digital tools (BIM, AI, automation)in collaboration with Group Innovation Direction and Digital Direction of the SL.but also in Eco conception..
* Define a technological roadmap for SL projects, aligned with the group's strategic directions.
1. Synergies and international cooperation:
* Collaborate closely with other Service Lines of the Groupto develop synergies and pool expertise on high-value projects.
* Contribute to the global strategy of the SL, particularly regarding acquisitions, due diligence, and new strategic partnerships.
* Represent Egis’s technical expertise to external organizations (normative committees, colloquiums, conferences) and promote the group's technical capabilities.
* Promote and build partnerships with key environmental and water actors
1. Resource management and skill development:
* Contribute to recruitment, development, and management of technical experts on a global scale.
* Ensure skill development within technical teams through training programs, excellence pathways, and fostering a culture of innovation.
* Align resources with project needs in terms of production, innovation, and commercial performance.
* Promote and put in place production centers and Center of excellence.
Qualifications
* Engineering degree or equivalent, with at least 15 years of experience in the Water and/or Environment in the engineering sector, specially in technical field
* Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects on an international scale.
* Strong leadership, communication, and adaptability skills in multicultural environments.
* Innovation-driven mindset with the ability to lead transformation efforts.
