This Sunderland based global manufacturer has an opportunity for an experienced Finance Administrator to join a small Finance team.
Your new role
Working as part of a small finance team, you will report into the Financial Controller taking ownership of the Sales Ledger and Treasury functions.
1. Processing self bill invoices and maintaining supporting analysis
2. Processing inter-company sales invoices and maintaining supporting analysis
3. Processing miscellaneous sales invoices
4. Management of the accounts receivable inbox
5. Chasing any overdue sales invoices and supporting with any customer queries
6. Maintaining and posting the cashbooks for multi-currency transactions
7. Management of the petty cash function and processing all related transactions
8. Posting the month-end cashbook journal and allocating receipts & payments
9. Running month-end debtors reports
10. Supporting with HMRC Customs administration
11. Reviewing systems and processes, making improvements where necessary
12. Providing accounts payable cover
13. Any ad hoc tasks required to support the Finance Team
What you'll need to succeed
Excellent numeracy and communication skills
Solid team working skills
Self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature
Confident with Excel and quick to learn other systems
Ability to develop good customer/colleague relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
Ability to work to deadlines
