Candidates must have a full HCPC ODP Registration or NMC Nurse Registration; there is no option to complete OSCE for this role.
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Operating Department Practitioner (or a Registered Nurse with a qualification in Anaesthetics) to join our Gynaecology and Obstetrics Theatre Team. You must have sound clinical experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to work flexibly and lead by example.
You will work in partnership with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and closely with the theatre management team to provide safe quality care and an excellent patient and staff experience. Additional experience in either Scrub or Recovery is beneficial.
There is also the opportunity to work in other operating theatres across the Trust once competencies have been met for the post.
Full time is preferable, but part time hours will be considered.

* Maintain accurate completion of theatre records, documentation, and care plans.
* Assess the immediate and ongoing needs of the patient and develop an individualised plan of care.
* Make decisions on the most appropriate method of care for patients.
* Regularly communicate with team members, including Consultants, nursing staff, and other specialties.

Education, Training & Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with an Anaesthetic Qualification or an Operating Department Practitioner
* Degree Level Qualification

* Previous experience within anaesthetics, scrub, or recovery
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to assess, plan, prioritise, deliver, and evaluate patient care.
* Competent in using medical equipment.
* Able to undertake patient manual handling manoeuvres.
* Knowledge of current issues related to the NHS.
