Location: London Hybrid About the position We are seeking a Category Controller, UK&I to drive category growth and strategy within the UK market. As part of our leadership team, you will lead and manage two direct reports, developing category strategies that deliver results for our customers and Flora Foods. You’ll work closely with internal retail sales teams and partner with key retailers, delivering insight-driven recommendations that foster mutual growth. This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to shape the future of Flora Foods' categories through effective leadership and expert collaboration. Main Responsibilities Category Management & Strategy: Develop and implement category strategies grounded in insight and data, designed to drive growth and deliver solutions that align with our customers' needs. Ensure category plans are seamlessly integrated into joint customer strategies. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team, providing clear direction, supporting development, and fostering a high-performance culture within the Category team. Customer Collaboration: Build strong, strategic relationships with key retailers, creating tailored category strategies that come to life in everyday actions. Develop compelling selling stories that ensure Flora Foods' brands outperform market expectations. Channel & Format Strategy: Identify and unlock opportunities for category growth within emerging channels and retail formats, driving innovation and expanding our presence across new environments. Performance Monitoring & Insights: Lead robust performance analysis, regularly reviewing proprietary retailer data and syndicated reports to monitor success. Ensure insights are translated into actionable plans that drive measurable category growth and deliver value to both Flora Foods and retail partners. Range Reviews & Merchandising: Oversee comprehensive range reviews, offering expert guidance on range, space, and merchandising decisions. Ensure these reviews drive distribution growth while optimising overall category performance through data-backed recommendations. Customer Advocacy: Represent the voice of the customer within internal cross-functional teams, including Sales and Marketing, ensuring customer insights are central to innovation launches, promotional plans, and overall business planning. Demonstrate expertise in leading range reviews, including range optimisation, space planning, and merchandising, ensuring category performance improvements. Possess the ability to create and execute strategic plans that drive both customer and business success.
