Control & Instrumentation Engineer - Days/Mon-Fri - Manchester - £60-65k + BUPA + 7% pension contribution + bonus + 25 days holiday
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join a well-established site in the Manchester area. The successful candidate will need to have worked in one of the following sectors: water treatment, chemical, or pharmaceutical, and have DeltaV DCS experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requires good knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and DCS; recent/relevant knowledge of DeltaV DCS is key.
2. Good fault-finding and software change knowledge.
3. Proactive and confident individual comfortable engaging with all stakeholders on the plant.
4. Requires good knowledge of instrument loops.
5. Opportunity for an experienced engineer to grow the role, potentially leading to a strategic level position.
6. Functional safety knowledge is a plus.
7. PLC programming experience is a plus.
8. Experience working on a COMAH site is a plus.
9. Experience is prioritized over specific qualifications.
10. Role estimated to be 80% maintenance and 20% projects.
11. Be part of the HAZOP team.
12. 37.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times.
13. Mon-Fri role (no weekends worked over the last 12 months).
14. All applicants must be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.
The site is commutable from all parts of Manchester as well as places such as Bolton, Stockport, St Helens, Leigh, Warrington, Altrincham, Middleton, and Heywood.
