The team is focussed on delivering maximum impact in a supportive, fast paced environment, driving innovation and best practice in everything we do by following our core values: Good by default Open to new ideas Always improving About the Role We are seeking a Technical Project Manager that is passionate about technology and sustainability to deliver the deployments of our on-the-edge solutions within our Commercial and Industrial Enterprise offering. This role will lead the deployments of our energy asset integration technology across our enterprise client base. The successful candidate will join our team during a period of significant growth, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that drive our energy generation and sustainability products. The role will be the first in our complex projects division and will offer the opportunity of significant development as you assist with the building out of our large and complex projects division, supporting regions such as the UK, Europe, North America and South Africa. As the first of their kind in this team, you will take charge of delivering complex and enterprise level projects for commercial and industrial (C&I) clients which handle both hardware and software requirements. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, navigating complex technical landscapes while ensuring alignment with business goals and driving the successful execution of large-scale, high-impact projects. In this role, you will manage multiple workstreams, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure all project milestones are met on time, in scope and within budget. You will be responsible for providing regular project updates and detailed reports to senior management, ensuring transparency in progress, risks, and deliverables. Additionally, you will play a critical role in motivating and guiding your team, ensuring they meet deadlines and maintain high-performance standards in a fast-paced environment. As the division grows, you will engage in continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery processes, tools, and methodologies. You will contribute to the evolution of best practices, fostering a culture of efficiency, innovation, and collaboration. Manage hybrid-style projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies. Track project progress, timelines, resources, risks and budgets to ensure successful, on-time delivery. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, creating and maintaining a strong relationship and ensuring clear and documented communication. Provide technical oversight and guidance on IoT architecture, deployment strategies, and hardware/software integrations, with existing commercial systems (e.g., smart buildings, industrial automation) and network protocols (e.g., LoRaWAN, BACnet, MQTT) in commercial applications. Conduct client workshops to gather and document technical requirements. Collaborate with the product and solutions teams, ensuring they have clear project briefs and timelines. Provide regular updates and reports to all stakeholders. Escalation to Senior management when required. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and projects. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within IT or digital environments. Familiarity with commercial IoT use cases (smart buildings, industrial automation, energy management, etc.). Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects using project management methodologies and tools. Experience in both Waterfall and agile project management methodologies Positive can-do attitude and excellent teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Experience in stakeholder management at all levels. Building collaborative relationships, expectation management and strong influencing skills with the ability to gain buy-in from challenging stakeholders. Advanced problem-solving skills and adaptability. Ability to communicate effectively with product teams, translating technical requirements into clear action points and milestones.
