The team is focussed on delivering maximum impact in a supportive, fast paced environment, driving innovation and best practice in everything we do by following our core values: Good by default Open to new ideas Always improving About the Role We are seeking a Product Owner that is passionate about technology and sustainability to support our on the edge solutions within our Commercial and Industrial Enterprise offering. This role is pivotal in assisting with the growth of a SaaS Product Management team to help us build momentum and deliver our objectives. The successful candidate will join our team during a period of significant growth, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful products that drive our energy generation and sustainability solutions. The role will be working closely with the Product Leads to deliver features that will monetise on our free, global SaaS Platform. You will be given the opportunity to help build new processes, create and manage a roadmap, and be a part of tactical decision making. This role is a transformational, hybrid role that doesn’t fit the traditional role of a Product Owner so the right person will need to be proactive, communicative, resilient, and able to quickly adapt to changing situation s, requests and requirements. Backlogs and Roadmaps Work with senior engineers and technical project managers to build a prioritised backlog that keeps the teams efficient and agile Work with the Product Leads Owners, and Managers to build a short-term roadmap for PI Planning (based on Scaled Agile) Work with Product Leads and Directors to create a strategic and long-term roadmap for the Product Discovery and Requirements Gathering Ownership of Product Requirement Documents (PRD), including creation, maintaining, and championing awareness of the information Creating and presenting Discovery decks to inform upcoming plans to internal key stakeholders for buy-in and prove value Create user flows and wireframes of ideas, in the early stages, to communicate the problems that require solved and the user needs Knowledge Expert You will work to understand key areas of our products, by proactively learning about the hardware and software involved and how that fits into the vision and mission of the company Become a subject matter expert in your relevant products to represent the products internally and externally Have a deep understanding of the user personas that are impacted by your product and champion their needs and the problems they face Succinctly describe features and epics that you are managing, regardless of their technical complexity Feedback and Analysis Work with other PO/PMs to gather feedback from different parties and discussing how to incorporate requirements into the product; with the goal of giving customers the best experience, and helping customers achieve their goals using our technology Utilising analytics software and other departmental metrics to build KPIs and success measures in your product to align into our tactics and strategies Collate, monitor, and prioritise user feedback through various channels to inform the long-term roadmap with valuable insights Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams Collaborate with internal teams, including Professional Services, Commercial, Technical Support, Marketing, Technical Authors, QA, Training, Engineering, Product Operations, and UX/UI Design to continuously improve and share knowledge Engage in continuous improvement for internal initiatives and projects Process Improvement and Documentation Assist in building out integrated processes and workflows for product development teams, including creating flows, documentation, POCs, and using your experience to guide others and support scaling the company's growth Develop and maintain product documentatio n, such Sprint Update Emails, Product Update Emails, presenting Lunch and Learns on product updates, presenting features in company-wide All-Hands, monthly product updates to management, etc. Implement and maintain best practices in product management and process improvement Training and Mentorship Provide guidance and training to less experienced Product Owners and Product Managers, as well as other team members who are less familiar with your product area or best practices Act as a mentor for developing team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement How you will succeed Expectation management wit h internal and external stakeholders, including timelines, risks, feasibility, and dependencies with constant and proactive communication Output and o utcome document ation and reports are consistent ly produced at a high quality an d aimed at the correct level for the audience Exceptional internal communication via emails, documentation, presentations and in meetings (both in-person and remotely) to ensure everyone pulls in the same direction Validate assumptions and ensure that decisions are made with knowledge, evidence, and value Anticipate needs and requirements of those in and out of your team to provide updates and ensure changes are known as quickly as possible Courage to speak up and provide your insight and experience into conversations and scenarios but understanding the need to “disagree and commit” to continue movement, with iterative feedback loops The ability to roll up your sleeves and muck in to support other team members Self-motivating and picking up tasks without being asked and communicating your workload, capacity, and priorities Utilising your team mates to share ideas, give feedback, and generally lean on each other As a member of the team, you will have: Flexible working hours with the hybrid working The ability to take ownership, drive change, and grow our culture and company Quarterly social activities and team building exercises such as escape rooms and paintballing Choose whether you would like to work on a MacBook or Windows machine Regular one-to-one progress reviews with your line manager Access to PerkBox for lots of discounts from many brands, including supermarkets, restaurants, gyms, and entertainment venues Access to virtual medical support and advice 25 days off a year, plus bank holidays and a day off for your birthday Flexible working with core hours of 10 am -
