Are you an experienced Science Teacher looking for work in Birmingham?
Winner Education are seeking a Physics Teacher for a secondary school in Central Birmingham. This role is due to start after the Easter holidays on a part-time basis, 3 days per week, and will be long term until the end of the academic year. You must have previous experience in teaching science with a specialism in physics, in particular up to A-Level.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Work alongside the Curriculum Lead to ensure the curriculum is up to date and meets the needs of the students
* Adapt lessons to suit the needs of children
* Create a stimulating learning environment
* Support KS4 and KS5 pupils
* Conduct assessments and progress reports for individual pupils
* Provide additional revision and focus sessions for students
* Ensure pupils are meeting set targets
* Produce interactive and engaging lesson plans to deliver to the learners
* Support pupils with additional GCSE and A-Level support
* Attend parents evenings when required
The successful Physics Teacher must:
* Support students with the transition of the next stage of their education or training
* Have previous experience working in a secondary school
* Hold a QTS or degree within science
* Have previous experience of teaching Physics
* Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
* Have strong resilience and patience
* Be a great team-player and form good relationships within the school environment
* Good classroom and behaviour management
