Examination Invigilators
Required to start: Easter 2025
Salary: £13.74 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.
Working Pattern: Variable, on a demand basis.

Co-op Academy North Manchester is seeking to appoint additional members to our team of external exam invigilators for the forthcoming summer season of external examinations and beyond.
You will be part of a team responsible for providing support in public and internal examinations, including invigilation of exams, monitoring exam rooms, and ensuring examination regulations are adhered to. The working hours are flexible depending on the number and length of examinations taking place. They are scheduled as morning and/or afternoon sessions.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be well organised, confident, and work well as part of a team. Previous invigilation experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Job Description
The role of the Examination Invigilator involves being part of a team responsible for providing support in public and internal examinations, including invigilation of exams, monitoring exam rooms, and ensuring regulations are adhered to. The working hours are flexible depending on the number and length of examinations taking place.
Experience
Experience is not required, as training will be provided, although applicants will be asked to declare if they have invigilated previously and whether they have any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied to them.
An ideal candidate will:

Main Responsibilities
* Conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body, and Co-op Academy North Manchester instructions.
* Uphold the integrity of the examination process.
Before exams
* Report to and be briefed by the Exams and Assessment officer prior to each exam session.
* Keep exam papers and materials secure before, during, and after exams.
* Ensure exam rooms are set out according to the instructions.
* Admit candidates into exam rooms.
* Identify, seat, and instruct candidates in the conduct of their exams.
* Distribute the correct exam papers and materials to candidates.
* Deal with candidate queries.
During exams
* Supervise candidates at all times and be vigilant throughout exams.
* Keep disruption in exam rooms to a minimum.
* Deal with emergencies or irregularities effectively.
* Record/report any disruption or irregularities.
* Complete attendance registers.
* Deal with candidate queries.
After exams
* Collect exam scripts.
* Dismiss candidates from the exam room.
* Check candidates’ names on scripts match the details on the attendance register.
* Attend training, refresher, or review sessions as required.
* Undertake, where required and where able, other duties requested by the exams officer, for example:
o Supervision of clash candidates between exam sessions.
o Facilitating access arrangements for candidates, for example as a reader, scribe, etc. (full training will be provided).
o Exams-related administrative tasks.

* Manchester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
