Definition:
Hybrid of sales and engineering in Industrial and Commercial markets, by preparing Technical presentations to explain and deliver the products and services to existing and prospective customers.
Job Purpose:
The Sales Engineer is the key point of contact for clients, providing both pre and after sales advice. Using your technical knowledge and sales skills to provide advice and support on our product range to existing and prospective customers, delivering exceptional service from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Search and identify new clients that may benefit from our products.
2. Build on existing relationships.
3. Identify market trends and consult with relevant departments for continuous improvement.
4. Work in an efficient and effective manner to meet target schedules.
5. Negotiate tender and contract terms.
6. Calculate quotations.
7. Maintain and update client accounts.
8. Provide pre-sales assistance and product education.
9. Maintain after-sales support and assistance.
10. Arrange and carry out product demonstrations/education.
11. Prepare reports and cost analysis.
12. Meet the sales targets of the organization.
13. Support marketing including attending trade shows and conferences.
14. Demonstrate technical presentations to support how the product meets the clients’ requirements.
15. Escalate accordingly any quality or production concerns.
16. Update and maintain accurate records.
17. Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
18. Update team on day-to-day requirements.
19. Identify business improvement opportunities and feedback.
20. Ensure planning and delivery of orders in a timely manner.
21. Undertake continuous training and development.
22. Engage and participate within management meetings.
23. Liaise with the sales agent team regularly.
24. Recognise and refer new potential sales agents.

Desirable Skills:

3. Degree qualified in engineering.
4. Understanding of costs, invoicing, and record keeping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £50,000.00 per year
Additional Pay:
* Commission pay.
