About the Role We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our dynamic global finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll take ownership of our management accounting function, ensuring Pirate Studios continues to scale effectively. You'll be responsible for producing monthly board packs, balance sheet reconciliations, and insightful financial analysis to support decision-making at the highest level. What You'll Be Doing Taking full ownership of the management accounting process, from journal postings to delivering monthly reports. Preparing and analysing financial reports to track performance against budgets and forecasts. Managing accounts payable for our studios and head office, ensuring efficient cash flow management. Partnering with key departments such as Rollout and Operations to ensure timely payment of invoices and financial support. Creating dashboards and reports to present key metrics and KPIs that drive strategic decisions. Providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management and the board. Supporting year-end audits and compliance processes. Identifying opportunities to improve financial systems and reporting tools. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking an analytical and commercially-minded finance professional with a keen eye for detail and the ability to see the bigger picture. You should be highly organised, proactive, and eager to take ownership of your work. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in preparing monthly management accounts. Strong MS Excel / Google Sheets skills for financial modelling. Ability to analyse and present financial data to non-financial stakeholders. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels. Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Desirable: Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA). Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Looker or Tableau. Experience in property rental or startup environments. Why Join Pirate Studios?
