Job overview
We are looking for an administrator who is self-motivated, demonstrates initiative and manages their administrative workload effectively. Good communication skills are essential with a variety of stakeholders in the key role of coordinating, organising and providing administrative and secretarial support to a busy Pharmacy Department over multiple sites.
The post is based across all of our sites including the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital and Aintree University Hospital and the Walton Centre Pharmacy as required.

Main duties of the job
The Pharmacy Administrator will provide a full secretarial and administrative assistance to the Senior Management Team also providing secretarial and diary management cover to the Chief Pharmacist as required in the absence of the Chief Pharmacist’s Personal Assistant.
The post holder will be required to undertake the full range of administrative duties including co-ordination and management of issues relating to clerical support.
The post holder will maintain all documentation, spreadsheets and filing systems such as sickness reporting/management, annual leave management, using the departmental electronic portal and the Trust Electronic Staff Record system.

The post holder will supervise as required and deliver clerical services to the Pharmacy Department. They will be an effective member of the department by providing a high standard of clerical services.

Qualifications
* NVQ 3 or ‘A level or equivalent
* ECDL or equivalent experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
* Supervisory course
Experience
* Demonstrable previous experience in office administration
* Experience of diary management
* Previous experience supervising staff and training
* Previous NHS experience at supervisory level
Knowledge
* Knowledge of NHS policies
Skills
* The ability to lead and work as part of a team
* Commitment to completion of work tasks at high standard
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain high quality work
