Learning Support Assistant – High Peak, Derbyshire
Start Date: After October Half Term
Daily Pay: £400 - £500
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive team in the High Peak area of Derbyshire. Starting after the October half term, this full-time role offers a competitive pay rate of £400 - £500 per day, depending on experience. You will work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to support students with additional needs, helping them achieve their full academic and social potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Individual Support: Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs, ensuring they receive tailored assistance in both classwork and homework.
* Promote Positive Behaviour: Help with behaviour management, promoting positive behaviour and a respectful classroom environment.
* Monitor and Report Progress: Track and provide feedback to teachers on student progress, helping to identify areas where additional support may be needed.
* Collaboration: Liaise with parents, carers, and staff to ensure a cohesive support system is in place for each student.
Requirements:
* Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
* Understanding of SEN: A good understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the challenges that some students face in their learning.
* Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Positive Attitude: A proactive and positive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
Qualifications:
* A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
