A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Care Assistant to work in an exceptional care home based in the Hebburn, Tyne and Wear area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
A care home situated in a quiet residential area in Hebburn provides the highest standard of residential, dementia and nursing dementia care to its residents.
To be considered for this position you must hold a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and be willing to work towards Level 3.
As a Senior Care Assistant your key duties include:
1. Leading and inspiring a team of committed care assistants to provide the highest quality of care to our residents, enabling them to live later life well.
2. Supporting residents with personal care needs and helping them to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing.
3. Administering medication and maintaining clear and accurate records.
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
1. Passionate about caring for older people.
2. Previous care experience.
3. Experience leading, coaching and motivating a team to deliver high quality care.
4. A kind, warm and caring nature, able to work well as part of a team and also use your own initiative.
5. Strong patience, communication and listening skills.
6. Maintaining accurate records, time management and prioritising tasks.
7. Ability to lead by example, form positive relationships and energise colleagues to deliver exceptional care.
The successful Senior Care Assistant will receive an excellent salary of £12.25 per hour, with an annual salary of £24,524.50 per annum.
