Job Title: Project Manager Department: Commercial Area Covered: TBD Reports To: Commercial Director To provide design advice and technical calculations to specifiers, write clear, concise, and accurate specifications in NBS format to architect details, and ensure adherence to specifications. Manage projects through the tendering process to material order and completion, targeting private architects, housing associations, government institutions, educational institutions, retail groups, and other construction product specifiers. Key Responsibilities: - Project Management: Manage project specifications through the tender process to completion. - Client Relationship Building: Develop relationships with key clients such as private architects, housing associations, and government institutions. - Increase Product Profile: Enhance the profile of company products within the assigned area, target major competitor clients, and improve product distribution among existing clients. - CRM and Reporting: Track projects and leads efficiently using the company's CRM system. Submit monthly reports on specifications, project status, and client engagement. Technical Knowledge: - Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's product range and related accessories. - Stay updated on industry technology and competitor products, including pricing policies and legislation. - Conduct technical surveys related to customer needs and provide accurate drawings for quotations. - Offer technical advisory services to clients through presentations, ensuring installation best practices. - Selling Skills: - Gain confirmed specifications for products and identify new prospects. - Generate enquiries and opportunities to quote from both existing and new clients. - Promote company training and product demonstrations. - Ensure customer satisfaction through liaison with relevant departments. Market Intelligence: - Provide regular feedback on company image, product perception, and market opportunities. - Report competitor sales and marketing activities. - Submit reports and photos on specific or prestigious projects. - Measurement Criteria: - Achievement of agreed specification targets. - Number of enquiries/specifications generated and converted into orders. - Development of new strategic clients in line with territory strategy. - Effective territory planning and adherence to reporting procedures, including CRM use.
