Greenwood Academies Trust are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Regional Catering Manager with a proven record of accomplishment to deliver the highest standards of customer service and food provision to our academies.
About the role:
As a Trust Regional Catering Manager, in partnership with local chef managers, you will:
have good organisational skills, be flexible and comfortable with travelling to different academies weekly and may involve last minute diary changes.
lead academy-based catering staff to deliver an exceptional in-house catering service.
ensure investment in staff professional development, including your own.
compliance with all relevant legislation.
have a serious eye for detail, like to get hands on and lead the way.
have a knowledge of working to budgets and be financially astute to support academy finance staff.
have knowledge of implementation/streamlining of management systems, training staff to utilise the systems efficiently.
communicate clearly and diplomatically with colleagues, staff and customers at all levels and make decisions relating to the Trust’s catering services.
have knowledge of HR practices in relation to recruitment, absence management, PDR, disciplinary processes, etc.
ability to promote a welcoming environment to our customersa natural positive person with a ‘can do’ attitude, prepared to assist and work as part of a team and the company
flexible, open to innovative ideas, approaches and cultures, values diversity, and difference. supportive when taking part in change initiatives.
have the skill and ability to spot business opportunities, to generate innovative ideas and approaches that move the business forwards.

A typical working week would be:
Monday – Visiting Academies
Tuesday – Visiting Academies
Wednesday – Visiting Academies
Thursday – Working at Head Office in Nottingham
Friday – Working from home

Qualifications & Experience required to fulfil a Regional Catering Manager role:
You must have current Regional, Support or Area Operations Manager experience in the education catering sector over multiple sites, with a background of managing direct reports, and with a real passion for food and service quality. This will include a strong knowledge of education catering management, client relationship building, people skills, meeting business critical KPI's including Health and Safety, Food Safety, Sustainability, Finance and Governance.
You must be IT proficient.
Hold (or willing to undertake training to) a minimum of Level 3 qualifications in food safety and catering supervision.
It will be necessary for the company to apply for a DBS check and further security checks may also be required at commencement of employment.
