A Vacancy at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be accountable for the operational and clinical delivery of the infection control services across all Service Directorates and the Trust, by establishing and leading an effective infection prevention team.
The post holder will deputise for the Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC) across the Director’s portfolio with specific responsibility and accountability for Infection Prevention (IPC) and Control
Accountable tothe Chief of Nursing and Therapiesfor the day-to-day strategic leadership, direction of the multi-disciplinary workforce, and for improvement in the quality of patient experience; in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints in relation to the managed services.
You will provide expert, visible and strategic professional leadership to the infection prevention and control workforce in delivering the local and national strategy to enable the Trust to achieve its’ strategic agenda.
Lead and manage the Infection Prevention and Control Team to ensure they have a supportive, educational and advisory role for all staff and patients within the Trust. The teams have responsibility for minimising the risk of infection to patients, staff and carers (including minimising the risk of healthcare associated infection)
Lead on the delivery of a staff vaccination programme for influenza and Covid
