This Sales Category Manager - Commercial, Fleet, Snow, and Ice position is responsible for providing clients with customer-focused insights regarding the product and category, as well as creating and developing a long-term plan and strategy for the development of the category.
Preferred Experience for Sales Category Manager - Commercial, Fleet, Snow and Ice
* Education/Certification(s): Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.
* Experience: Job-related experience within a specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
* Training: Minimum of one month on-the-job training required.
Requirements for Sales Category Manager - Commercial, Fleet, Snow and Ice:
* Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles.
* Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
* Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
* Strong communication and team management skills.
* Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.

Sales Category Manager - Commercial, Fleet, Snow and Ice duties include but are not limited to:
* Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
* Devise long-term development strategies for product categories.
* Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
* Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
* Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
* Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.
* Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories.
* Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory.
* Assume responsibility for budget development and revenue for the category.
* Assist with the planning of sales exhibits.
* Attend trade shows.
* Participate in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
* Coordinate and assist in leading sales meetings to include site selection and agenda preparation.
* Keep informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers.
* Check on competitive activity and develop new methods of attaining resellers and assisting resellers in attaining new accounts.
* Manage a team of salespeople and ensure company standards are upheld.
