As part of the finance team you will support Grosvenor's common purpose by: Provid ing exceptional financial service Creat ing value Be ing a trusted partner As Finance Assistant you will be focussing on cash movements, reconciliations, and recharges to other entities. Key responsibilities Cash Management and Funding Processing high volumes of receipts for rent, council tax refunds and other income. Preparation and posting of journals including cashbooks, recharges to other entities Preparation and processing of ad-hoc payments. Weekly banking of cheques. Daily bank balance review. Financial Reporting A pproval of invoices and other payments on a daily basis. Approval of rental property change requests e.g. new lettings and deposit refunds. Creation of sales invoices from the property management sys tem and review ing sales processes. Perform monthly reconciliations for review, such as cash at bank, debtors and creditors. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts, budgets and forecasts t o predetermined timetables a nd to a high degree of accuracy. Leadership and Teamwork Provide frequent assistance to colleagues e.g. surveyors, trades people, hoteliers, PAs and foresters in the Rural Estates operational teams, as well as other non-finance departments. Action problems and issues as they occur; escalating to senior management if and when necessary. Participate in team meetings and ensure information is disseminated promptly to and from staff. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders and advisors in a professional manner. Financial Control, Systems and Risk Management Managing risk at the Grosvenor Family Office through adhering to internal processes and controls. Proactively contributing to the continuous improvement of Finance team processes by identifying and highlighting improvement options. Using Microsoft applications, along with the Grosvenor accounting, tax and other management systems. Projects and Strategy Undertake ad-hoc project work as required. To actively acquire a broad knowledge of rural estate operations inc. strategic objectives. Qualifications and experience required Book-keeping and Accounts payable experience Have good academic background with three good A' levels (or equivalent) Be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel Hold a full driving licence To apply for this job please click on "Apply".
