Projects Coordinator

Salary - £31,000 - £36,000 + Bonus
This role is essential to coordinating facilities and infrastructure project activities, workflows, and compliance at our state-of-the-art research facility. By supporting the Lead Engineer and managing capital projects, you'll help bring innovation to life while ensuring operational excellence and safety.
What We're Looking For:
A Level 4 Technical/Engineering Qualification or 7+ years of comparable experience in a similar role.
Expertise in project management, engineering planning/scheduling, and compliance.
Proven experience in managing workflows, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining knowledge management systems.
A proactive approach to ensuring safety and compliance in physical project activities.
Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
* Plan and coordinate project activities, workflows, and stakeholder engagements, including workshops, design meetings, and reviews.
* Organize and manage project documentation within SharePoint and other platforms, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Administrative Management:
* Issue meeting agendas, capture minutes, and track actions and approvals for seamless project progression.
* Raise purchase requisitions and oversee invoicing and capital asset creation processes.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Communicate and plan with stakeholders impacted by physical project activities, ensuring alignment and minimizing disruptions.
Compliance & Safety:
* Ensure adherence to external and internal standards, such as LRQA, CDM Regulations 2015, H&SAWA, and Home Office Licensing requirements.
* Oversee contractor safety processes, including RAMS reviews and the issuance of permits aligned with Mars Safe Systems of Work (SSW).
Capital Projects:
* Directly manage minor capital projects (up to £100K value) within the engineering team's remit, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
