Senior Project Engineer to work on the A423 Kennington Improvements Programme.
The £45m project involves the replacement of Kennington Railway Bridge on the A423 Southern Bypass Road, which is a dual carriageway forming part of the Oxford City Outer Ring Road. As well as passing over the Hinksey stream and four live rail lines, the bridge sits directly beneath overhead power lines. Around 53,000 vehicles use the bridge daily, and approximately 360 trains travel underneath it. The bridge, built in 1965, also carries a strategic Thames Water main which requires diversion.
Ideally this role would suit an ambitious, driven individual who embraces the challenge of working within a high performing and supportive team.
Responsibilities:
As Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible and accountable for the design development, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning, and documentation of the electrical element of a project or projects, and provide proactive input into overall programme and commercial activities.
Essential skills:
* Temporary works design management
* Experience of TWC role on projects working to BS 5975 2019
* Proficient in CAD drafting
* Temporary works design and assurance around railway infrastructure
* Planning of engineering works around watercourses
To be successful in this role, you will hold:
* BTEC HNC in engineering of specific discipline (or equivalent)
* CITB site managers safety training scheme
* CSCS Site Supervisor – Gold Card
* Proficient in materials and subcontract letting and subcontract management
* Proficient in managing site construction and installation
* Proficient knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation
* Knowledge of construction contracts and procedures
