If you are looking to develop a career in internal audit and believe you have the skills and experience to make a difference working for the largest and most diverse employer in Wales, this is the opportunity you have been looking for.
You should be an individual with the attributes to thrive as an internal auditor in this challenging, varied, and complex environment. As a self-motivated individual, you should embrace our vision of delivering excellence and value for money. The recent external quality assessment (EQA) of our service by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy demonstrates that we are delivering a quality service to all of our clients.
This role will give you a real opportunity to make a difference to the quality of services provided to patients in Wales, by getting involved in audits across a diverse range of areas in a flexible working environment.
Audit & Assurance delivers a professional internal audit, assurance and consulting service to the NHS in Wales, consisting of 12 Health Boards/Trusts, and a number of Special Health Authorities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Audit Manager to join our team. You will play a key role to support a Deputy Head of Internal Audit to carry out high level complex audit reviews, and to manage the planning, delivery and reporting of audit plans and take personal responsibility for ensuring the quality of our services.
You will also be responsible for building and maintaining effective working relationships with senior management and ensuring that our audits add value and improve governance, risk management and control for the NHS organisations you are responsible for.
You will be joining us at an exciting time in our development. The Directorate’s successful EQA has been the catalyst for a number of changes and investments, in line with our medium-term plan, which have focused on our people, technology and the impact of our services.
We have positions available within a number of our regional teams spread across Wales, including based in the North and South. We promote a healthy work-life balance, supporting agile working arrangements and are therefore flexible as to where you will be based.
