Retail Implementation Lead Circa £55,000 car / car allowance 25% annual company performance related bonus, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private medical 12 Month Secondment / Fixed Term Contract Hybrid, Priory Park Bedford Job Summary This is a newly created role, born out of our ambition to 'win in all segments' and explore the Retail market as a key area of growth. The Retail Implementation Lead will be instrumental in executing and delivering the Retail strategy, ensuring seamless implementation across key areas of the business. While the Head of Retail defines the strategy, this role is focused on tactical execution, operational delivery, and ensuring Retail is effectively integrated into our broader B2C operations. Currently, we are in a growth phase, focusing on building, testing, and scaling the Retail proposition. As we mature, the role will evolve to focus on continuous improvement through optimisation, personalisation, and embedding Retail as a core commercial offering, ensuring long-term operational success. Cross-functional collaboration, matrix working, and stakeholder engagement will be critical to success Roles and Responsibilities Support the execution and implementation of the Retail strategy as defined by the Head of Retail. Develop and Deliver Retail Propositions: Manage the operational roll-out and scaling of Retail propositions, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across Retail, Commercial, Pricing, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Data Analytics to ensure seamless execution and delivery. Operational Execution: Lead on the practical day-to-day management of the Retail proposition, working directly with contact centre, digital and field leadership teams, to ensure smooth deployment and adoption. Market & Product Development: Identify market trends, customer needs, and operational challenges that impact successful execution. Performance Analysis & Optimisation: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), measure execution performance, and implement tactical improvements. Influencing & Engagement: Effectively engage, influence, and gain buy-in from internal and external stakeholders to drive execution and ensuring clear communication and alignment on implementation priorities Scaling & Continuous Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and lead improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and delivery. Customer-Centric Approach: Use customer insights and feedback to refine and enhance operational processes and user experience. Commercial Acumen: Ensure all execution decisions are made with a clear understanding of profitability, operational feasibility, and long-term sustainability. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics to continuously optimise and refine Retail propositions, using insights to shape future execution plans. Key Deliverables: Revenue & Profitability: Ensure Retail is implemented in a way that maximises sustainable growth and profitability. Execution & Implementation: Deliver initiatives on time and within budget, ensuring seamless roll-out and adoption. Market Positioning & Awareness: Work cross functionally to build insight to support development of the future Retail strategy. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Delivery: Strong experience in delivering complex projects and initiatives within a fast-paced environment. Project Management: Ability to manage competing priorities and ensure operational timelines are met. Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of key commercial measures (volume, sales, margin) and how to interpret and maximise them to drive business performance Influencing & Communication: Ability to engage and align stakeholders at all levels to drive operational success. Collaboration & Matrix Working: Ability to work in a matrix environment, influencing and coordinating multiple teams to achieve implementation goals.
