About the role…
Reporting to the Head of HSEQ, the purpose of the Quality Control Advisor role is to support the business in ensuring effective quality control within operational delivery. This position involves overseeing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and providing guidance to teams to maintain high-quality standards.
This is a permanent, full-time position based out of our Chorley or Warrington office on a hybrid working pattern. You will be expected to travel across various client sites, so a full UK driving license is a requirement.
What will your day look like…
* Set up an inspection regime for the operational teams that is easy to follow and ensure good quality control.
* Providing training to staff on quality processes and maintaining detailed inspection records.
* Collaborating with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that they meet quality standards.
* Observing operations to identify potential quality issues and ensure adherence to established procedures.
* Recording inspection results, analysing data to identify trends or patterns, and creating reports on quality metrics.
* Documenting non-conforming products, initiating corrective actions, and communicating issues to relevant personnel.
* Ensuring compliance with company quality management systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
* Investigating the root cause of quality problems and proposing solutions to prevent recurrence.
About you…
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Advisor with a strong background in ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards. The ideal candidate will be a Lead Auditor with exceptional research and analytical skills, able to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The candidate should have an in-depth understanding of national and international industry regulations, business management principles, and be proficient in relevant software tools.
