We’re looking for a passionate and super creative Social Media Marketing Assistant to support the marketing team in driving growth, engagement, and creativity across all social channels for our variety of personal care & colour cosmetics brands. You’ll have a love for all things beauty and personal care, be comfortable and confident in creating impactful, stand-out content – particularly on TikTok!
You’ll live and breathe social media, act as the voice of the brand, bring new, exciting and trend-led ideas to the team. Assisted by the Marketing and Communications Manager your focus will be on day-to-day content creation, community management and influencer relations.
This is a fast-paced role, so you’ll need to be super organised, able to multi-task and have a proactive and positive approach to the role.
We’re looking for someone to play a key role within our marketing team to help develop new social initiatives to drive our KPI's i.e. partnerships, competitions and influencer content.
Job Description
1. Assist in management of all social media channels
2. Plan, create and schedule trend-led still and video content, able to adapt and edit to suit individual platforms
3. Day-to-day community management, during and outside of office hours. Responding to comments and messages in a timely and effective manner, including customer service queries
4. Own and manage media room at HQ, planning monthly in-house influencer content days
5. Regular weekly gifting of PR boxes to influencers
6. Outreach to other brands to establish partnerships through social
7. Proactively communicate with internal sales and product teams to ensure launches & promotions are communicated across all channels
8. Attendance of all shoots and events to take BTS content
9. Assist Marketing Manager in reporting of social and influencer activity
10. Work with marketing team to manage PR agency, working on campaigns, influencer, consumer events, and press relations
11. Monitoring PR coverage and communication to wider business
12. Collaborate with the marketing team to build social trend reports, focusing on industry and social trends, beauty updates, key competitors and visual references for social content
13. Work alongside the team to deliver brand TikTok lives
14. Maintain monthly admin tasks, including influencer stock replenishment and management of all product deliveries for marketing activations
15. Regularly updating all drives and marketing folders
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor degree in any Marketing preferred.
2. Previous Marketing Experience would be preferred; however, we are looking to hear from someone passionate about social media and the beauty & personal care industry
3. Previous experience in using the following platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Canva, Word, Excel, Google Forms, video editing platforms such as CapCut.
Preferred Criteria
1. Understanding and working knowledge of all relevant social media channels
2. TikTok obsessed – you’ll know all the latest trends and be able to create reactive content that resonates with our audience
3. Strong creative skills, and ability to create highly engaging still and video content.
4. An eye for photography, able to shoot and edit content. Experience using Adobe suite preferred.
