The Position
The Corporate Sales Team at the Kia Oval is responsible for £20m worth of revenue primarily across sponsorship, hospitality and Meetings & Events. The biggest sales team within this group focus on the non-match day events (M & E). We are looking for a coordinator to join the corporate sales team full-time to focus on event organisation for all Club and stakeholder events.
What you'll do?
* Be an integral team member supporting the team with the planning and coordination of our corporate bookings
* Ensure standards are met on the function sheets to improve delivery and service from sales through to operations
* Meet and greet all customers ensuring a clear handover is in place for the operations team
* Adhere to the internal health and safety of the club and facilitate meetings with the relevant departments
* Attend weekly operations meeting
* Support the Coordination Manager to implement processes and ensure team compliance is continuously met
* Assist with competitor analysis ensuring our packages are competitive and reflective of the market
* Maximise function space utilisation by understanding and implementing floor plans, working closely with the operations teams to adhere to health & safety guidelines.
* On occasion support on enquiries & proposals, providing best options to customers, within agreed response times to all web based, email and phone enquiries accurately and within brand guidelines
* Provide direct liaison with customers and suppliers ensuring clear communications of each party’s needs and expectations
* Identify potential opportunities for financial growth through the event planning stages, particularly developing relationships with preferred suppliers
* Record accurately all customer profiles, enquiries and booking information making full use of the appropriate systems.
* Achieve personal goals and objectives identified in reviews and appraisals
* Carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature to those described above, which may be allocated from time to time.
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:
Essential:
* A passion for detailed planning and coordination in the events industry
* GCSE including Maths & English
* Excellent written organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication skills, with previous experience communicating across multiple departments
* Computer literate and confident in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
Desirable:
* A level Attainment
* Knowledge of CRM software
* Previous event planning experience having worked and delivered corporate events, preferably within a venue.

Salary and Benefits:
£30,000-£31,500 per annum
5% Club Bonus Scheme
23 days holiday increasing to 28 days based on length of service
Non-Contributory Pension scheme / Private Health Care
Membership for domestic games, Tickets for International Games and loads more
