We have a great opportunity for an experienced staff nurse or newly qualified nurse to join our fantastic Paediatric Emergency Department team. We have exciting times ahead with our planned move to the new Midland Metropolitan Hospital, and we are looking forward to being able to push our paediatric service forward.
You will be expected to look after patients between 0-18 years old, having a good understanding around quality and safety. You will be expected to provide emergency care in a resuscitation situation, escalating concerns in order to provide a high standard of patient care.
You will work alongside the senior nurse supporting with timely treatments and patient transfers adhering to trust policies and guidelines.
From November 2024, our Paediatric Emergency Department will be based at our brand new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.

1. Experienced senior or junior Paediatric nurses
2. Newly qualified Nurses
3. Qualified Nurses
4. RN with evidence of Paediatric competencies or excessive acute Paediatric experience

Your job will entail:
1. Putting learnt models of care into practice, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
2. Managing a defined group of patients- participating in all aspects of care from initial contact/admission through to discharge, including transferring from one environment to another and administering medication.
3. Compliance with the NMC code of conduct and practice.
4. Keeping up to date with new developments in nursing and specialty specific information.
