Are you a strong communicator, have good organisational skills, able to work autonomously and manage your workload effectively? Then we are looking for YOU!
We are seeking an experienced paediatric nurse who is a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Band 6 Deputy Sister / Charge Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic registered Children's nurse who is looking to expand their knowledge and experience working with children and young people on ULHT's Children's Ward at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.
Main duties of the job
Our Children's ward provides compassionate care for Children and Young People from 0 to 16 years of age, caring for a mixture of specialties and a wide range of conditions including High Dependency Care. Our PAU encompasses assessment and observation of patients and day care services for our communities.
This Band 6 role will require someone who wants to develop themselves in a very supportive environment. You will need to enjoy leading a team, whilst ensuring the focus is on delivering high-quality evidence-based care to the child and family. You will actively participate in ensuring the governance agenda is met and that the trust objectives are at the centre of everything you do. You will also have the opportunity to work across the Paediatric services within the trust.
You will need to be competent, caring, and compassionate, with the proven ability to work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidates will need to demonstrate their commitment to continuously developing professionally whilst supporting junior colleagues in an acute clinical environment.
We have much to offer any candidate who joins our friendly team. Indeed, we recognise that it is also about you. As a unit, we have an active preceptorship and a supportive education programme, and we encourage all staff to undertake courses to ensure their continued development.
