The Role :
We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to work at a welcoming SEN School based in Cambridge. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome challenges and succeed in their educational journey. You will support classroom teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities designed to meet the individual needs of SEN students.

Your Responsibilities:
1. Tailor support to address the unique learning requirements of students with SEN.
2. Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
3. Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
4. Assist in maintaining classroom order, fostering a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
5. Establish effective communication with parents, teachers, and external professionals.
6. Regularly monitor and evaluate the academic and social progress of students with SEN.
7. Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Essential Requirements:
8. Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autism/ADHD experience).
9. Strong behaviour management skills.
10. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
11. Caring and empathetic personality.
12. Commitment to safeguarding children.
13. A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
