Job Title: PMO & Assurance Manager
Salary: To: £60,000 per annum (Dependant upon skills and experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Location: Walsall/Cambridge
South Staffs Water has a fantastic opportunity for a PMO & Assurance Manager to join our professional and trusted Capital Investment team to support the delivery of our Asset Management Plan. The role requires an experienced PMO & Assurance Manager who is self-motivated, manages the project portfolio, tracking progress, and managing risks and issues will manage a team to support the project delivery process via the project management office.
The Role
The PMO & Assurance Manager will be responsible for ensuring all project delivery follows the company processes from H&S, cost assurance, along with process delivery capturing all necessary documentation and asset information in line with the company's standards and company values.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement project management policies, processes, and templates.
2. Ensure compliance with project management standards.
3. Manage the project portfolio, including prioritization, communication, and reporting.
4. Work with project managers to ensure that projects are on track and meet quality standards.
5. Manage risks and issues and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
6. Manage project budgets and resource allocation.
7. Provide project management training and support to project managers and teams.
8. Manage relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
9. Provide regular project status reports to senior management.
10. Manage day-to-day activities in the PMO.
11. Oversee quality standards to ensure the highest quality goods or services.
12. Manage product testing and monitor all quality factors.
13. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs.
14. Conduct audits and analyze metrics to monitor quality.
15. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
16. Design and improve company quality standards.
17. Assist in the recruiting process.
18. Train, motivate, coach, and correct employees to meet standards.
What You'll Need:
1. A full UK driving license.
2. A degree level education or at least 5 years of experience in project management, with 3 years in a PMO management role.
3. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
4. Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
