Special Works Engineer – BMS Controls About the Role We are looking for a skilled and motivated Special Works Engineer to join our specialist team, working on a variety of BMS (Building Management Systems) projects. This role is ideal for a BMS Maintenance Engineer with at least four years of experience who wants to move beyond routine maintenance and explore a more technical and diverse position. As part of a small, dynamic team, you will work on a mix of on-site and office-based projects, including controller upgrades, software modifications, energy efficiency enhancements, and small fitout projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving and is eager to develop their skills in system testing, software development, and light design work. Key Responsibilities Upgrade controllers and supervisors on BMS systems. Implement energy enhancement solutions using smart technology. Carry out software modifications to improve system performance. Work on small fitout projects within construction environments. Conduct physical system testing on Trend and Tridium sites. Assist with technical design work and documentation in an office-based setting. Work closely with project managers and commissioning engineers to deliver bespoke solutions. Ensure all work meets industry standards and client expectations. Requirements At least four years of experience in BMS maintenance, service, or commissioning. Strong knowledge of Trend and Tridium BMS systems. Experience with software modifications, system programming, and commissioning. Understanding of fault-finding, upgrades, and energy efficiency solutions. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
