Harrogate Integrated Facilities are inviting applications to fill a Decontamination Technician post in our reputable Sterile Services Department.

Experience is not required as full training will be provided upon commencement in post; however, previous manufacturing or processing experience would be advantageous.
Following a successful probation period and full training in the department, the candidate will be offered an Apprenticeship Standard 099 in Healthcare Science Assistant L2.
Main Duties of the Job
The Sterile Services technician will support the provision of a professional decontamination service by performing technical duties in all aspects of the decontamination process. The post holder will provide a customer-focused service to staff, managers, clients, and suppliers.
The Sterile Services Department is responsible for assessing and implementing the correct method of disinfection, packaging, and sterilising of all medical devices that are to be processed in the department, in accordance with the quality standards and current issue of work instructions through the department.
To maintain a quality system for review by the Notified Body against the requirements of the quality standards for compliance against ISO13485 and the Medical Device Directive 93/42 EEC annex V (sterility only).
