Overview
A leading name in the premium automotive sector is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the full lifecycle of a product line—from strategic definition and development through to launch and long-term commercial success. This role is critical to ensuring that each product meets evolving market demands and delivers against business revenue goals.
Acting as the key interface between regional markets, central departments, and external partners, the successful candidate will oversee product planning, feature definition, communication strategy, and cross-functional project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Definition
Develop clear, market-informed product definitions that support brand identity and customer expectations.
Gather and analyse customer insights, market trends, and competitor positioning to inform product development.
Collaborate with regional teams, marketing, engineering, and commercial functions to ensure strategic alignment.
2. Lifecycle Management
Monitor product performance and implement strategies to drive volume and revenue across all lifecycle phases.
Proactively adapt the offer based on evolving customer needs, competitor actions, and technology trends.
3. Options & Feature Portfolio
Define and manage options portfolios aligned with business strategy, revenue targets, and market needs.
Ensure successful implementation of new features across vehicle lines in collaboration with finance, aftersales, and partner teams.
4. Product Communication
Identify key product differentiators and craft core messages for both internal and external stakeholders.
Support regional training, sales teams, and dealer communications with clear and compelling product content.
5. Project Leadership & Launch Execution
Represent the Sales & Marketing function in cross-functional vehicle development teams.
Lead the coordination and timely delivery of product launch activities across regions and departments.
Drive internal project deliverables and reporting, ensuring strong execution from development through to launch.
Key Impact Areas
Direct influence on the commercial success of a model line:
* Base Vehicle Revenue: €600-€850 million annually
* Options Revenue: €100-€150 million annually
Skills & Experience
* Substantial experience in the automotive sector, particularly in product, commercial, or marketing roles.
* Proven track record in managing complex product lifecycles and launch activities.
* Strong customer-centric mindset with a focus on data-led decision-making.
* Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience working across departments and markets.
* Comfortable working in high-profile, fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications & Technical Knowledge
* Degree-qualified, ideally in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
* Deep understanding of the automotive market and the principles of product marketing.
* Experience in cross-functional project management and customer-focused feature development.
