Job Description
Public Rights of Way Project Manager with environmental planning project management experience, excellent supervisory and negotiation skills, and good knowledge of environmental safety, planning, and PRoW DMMO processes within a local authority, council, public sector environment is required for a well-established organisation based in Wokingham, Berkshire.
Candidates will need knowledge of the following legislation:

SALARY: £43,421 - £48,474 per annum (pay award pending) + Benefits
LOCATION: Hybrid split between working from home and the office in Wokingham

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Public Rights of Way Project Manager. Working as the Public Rights of Way Project Manager, you will provide support and management to a team of Specialist Officers and use your public rights of way experience to manage priorities and lead on the organisation's major Greenways projects.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across the organisation and be responsible for supporting the management and maintenance of existing PRoWs and the DMMO process. You will also work with senior management in multiple disciplines to deliver PRoW consultations through the provision of specialist planning advice, the negotiation of associated developer contributions, and contribute to the continuing development of policy.

DUTIES
* Management and maintenance of existing Public Rights of Way and leading on the DMMO process
* Managing and supporting the development of Public Right of Way officers within the team
* Support the achievement of key priorities, making a real difference to the preservation and enhancement of the organisation's environment, particularly as it relates to Public Rights of Way
* Monitor and support in the delivery of KPIs for the service
* Support with the development and implementation of Public Right of Way projects including the major Greenways project
* Engage with a variety of stakeholders to respond to the changing demands and priorities of the team
* Identify and actively develop opportunities to improve the rights of way network across the Borough
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Relevant degree, diploma or industry recognised qualification relating to Public Rights of Way
* Strong Project Management experience within a similar industry is advantageous
* Comprehensive knowledge of Council statutory duties in relation to Public Rights of Way
* Advanced knowledge of rights of way legislation and procedures
* Effective communicator at all levels
