As a Registered Nurse working in a private maternity unit, you will be responsible for supporting your Midwife colleagues in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care and evidence-based practice.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with at least 1 year’s experience as a band 5 Nurse. You must have good organisational skills and a keen interest in working with mothers and babies, sound clinical knowledge, and be adaptable and flexible to change. If you are interested in developing your theatre and recovery skills and are able to provide care to newly delivered mothers and their babies, then this may be the exciting new challenge you have been looking for.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide care to women and their babies in the operating theatre, maternity recovery area, and postnatal ward.
2. Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care working collaboratively with midwifery colleagues.
3. Prepare and assemble theatre equipment and instruments when required.
4. Ensure safety of the environment including stock levels and storage of equipment and medicines.
5. Provide support to students/learners within the unit.
6. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team members in maintaining standards of woman-centred care in relation to perioperative, postoperative, and postpartum management while adhering to maternity policies and guidelines.
7. Maintain a high standard of professional expertise to ensure safe and evidence-based care is provided in specific areas.
