Purpose of the job
Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.
The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. The target areas will be public destination charging locations, primarily deploying fast-charging solution 7.4kW to 22kW with potential 50kW rapid solution as and when required.
The Electrical Project Manager will manage multiple EV projects from inception to completion that will involve working closely with the Zest’s Sales team, hosts/clients and numerous third party pre-approved contractors. The Technical Delivery Manager will be managing several installs at any one time which may be in various locations across the UK.
Key Accountabilities
The role is responsible for the following:
* Under the supervision of the immediate line manager.
* Responsibility of creating processes and deploying an Operations system including but not limited to policies, procedures, and documentation.
* Pre-Qualification approval of 3rd party contractors
* Supporting sales with quotations and technical support
* Engaging/liaise with Host/Clients, Principal designers/Contractor and 3rd party contractors
* Full construction management of multiple national projects
* Responsibility of project delivery to an agreed scope, budget and delivered within an agreed time scale.
* Ensuring compliance with all H.S.E CDM responsibilities, Electrical standards and building regulations.
* Bringing projects to life; conducting desk top studies, site survey, outline designs and pre-construction due diligence.
* Contractor relationship, Contractor Safety performance management and quality control reviews and audits.
* Project contractor allocation and selection
* Review and challenge contractor’s quotations and programs
* Complete Pre-Start Meetings with all stakeholders
* Complete regular site visits throughout the build(s)
* Manage and engage the contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure key project milestones are met
* Identifying and maximising all cost opportunities and reducing any downtime
* Approval of RAMS, Contractor auditing & Permit Issuing
* Monitor and track post project site snagging
* To support and carry out duties as instructed from time to time from the relevant line manager(s)
Outcome, Results and Key Performance Indicators
* Weekly Operations Team calls monitoring workflows, processes, and progress
* Bi-weekly review detailing deployment number and targets.
* Communication with the wider team
* Support provided to Sales
* Client/Host communication building trust and providing solutions
* Bonus incentive based on hard work, sales support and deployment
Dimensions of Job
This is a hybrid position, the role will involve both home working and travel – you will be required to attend various sites, engage with clients/host, attend management meetings and strategy meetings with the wider EV team

Knowledge and Skills
* Experience of project management.
* BS7671 18th edition wiring regulations and EVCP installation code of practice.
* EV equipment knowledge
* Civil and street works experience
* Knowledge / awareness of the building and CDM regulations
* H&S experience.
* IT skills and excel knowledge.
* General commercial awareness.
* A good level of numeracy and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of EV Installation, equipment, infrastructure and the deployment process

Qualifications
* NVQ – C&G or higher education
* CSCS or equivalent H&S training body
* SMSTS or SSSTS CITB training
