The Dame Clare Marx Building houses our brand new Essex and Suffolk Elective Orthopaedic Centre (ESEOC) and focuses on providing ring-fenced surgery and post-operative rehabilitation for orthopaedics across the SNEE. The centre has eight laminar flow theatres, three wards, recovery facilities, and support services including radiology and EBME. You will be responsible for optimised theatre list utilisation in the centre and is optimised for patients across SNEE and the wider region. You will possess a strong track record of operational delivery, strong financial management knowledge and skills, coupled with effective leadership skills. You will also have the ability to develop strong, productive and collaborative relationships both internally and with key stakeholders. Main duties of the job Responsibility for managing all aspects of operational delivery within the relevant clinical specialties of East Suffolk & North East Essex Foundation Trust to agreed quality standards and within the resource and income base available, to support the Trust's development as a clinically led organisation. You will lead on the development, implementation, establishment and review of performance management systems within the relevant clinical specialties - it is critical that this is done collaboratively with other clinical specialties within the Division and across the other Divisions. You will champion a strong focus of business acumen, finance and performance for services at the Essex and Suffolk Elective Orthopaedic Centre You will work closely with other acute providers to ensure the smooth transfer of patients for treatment in the Essex and Suffolk Elective Orthopaedic Centre.
