As a Weekend Cleaner, you will be responsible for the thorough cleaning of public areas, communal spaces, stairwells, and offices within the prison facility. Adhering to a pre-determined cleaning schedule, you will perform tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning walls, doors, windows, and other fixtures. You will also handle waste management, ensuring that waste receptacles are emptied daily, and rubbish is disposed of following internal waste management procedures. Your role will require the use of appropriate signage and cleaning practices to maintain safety standards. You will need to replenish cleaning stock in areas of responsibility and ensure that all frequently touched surfaces are sanitized regularly to maintain high hygiene standards. Working within a secure environment, you will be expected to deliver a professional and effective service, ensuring the prison environment remains safe and clean.
* Proven experience in industrial or office cleaning.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations related to cleaning tasks.
Desirables:
* Knowledge of BICS (British Institute of Cleaning Science) or CPSS (Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite) standards.
* Experience with Biohazard cleaning procedures.
