Our client, a well-regarded academy in Essex, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Sociology to join their vibrant and forward-thinking Humanities and Social Sciences department as soon as possible. Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality Sociology lessons to students at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
* Plan and prepare engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire and challenge all learners.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school and exam board expectations.
* Support the wider curriculum through contributions to departmental initiatives and extra-curricular activities.
* Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, learning, and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
* Have experience teaching Sociology at GCSE and A-Level.
* Demonstrate a passion for the subject and a commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.
* Be a strong communicator with excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
* Be committed to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
